An exhibition of paintings and stories by J. Michael Walker, All the Saints of the City of Los Angeles showcased the stories and artist interpretations of the places and names that make up the City of Angels. Filled with mostly two-dimensional artwork, this exhibition was supplemented by a sound scape of the city, a video installation of life in the city, and an altar environment for visitors to leave their own prayers to the saints of this city.
We developed environmental graphics to help visitors connect key places of J. Michael Walker's stories onto a map of the city. These graphics were also incorporated with an interactive table. Opening drawers in the table, visitors were able to explore more stories surrounding locations in the city and access objects important to the histories of Los Angeles.
